The Wolves' Pursuit
Glimmering moon
Full in the sky
Silver cast strewn
In rippled water of wry
Through forest trees
Runs a frantic deer
Icy cold breeze
Eyes widened in fear
Stalking close behind
The pack nears its prey
A deer's racing mind
They wish to slay
Bloodied claws tear
Pure white fangs snap
Long ruffled gray hair
Leave the deer a mere scrap
A ominous low howl
Sounds through the woods
Entwined in coos from an owl
Beauty is misunderstood
